Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GC3114 is a high-dose, intramuscularly injectable quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine developed by Green Cross (now known as GC Biopharma/GC Pharma) for the prevention of influenza virus infections. It is designed to provide enhanced immunogenicity compared to standard-dose vaccines, particularly targeting populations with reduced immune responses such as the elderly. The vaccine contains 60 μg of hemagglutinin per strain—four times higher than standard formulations—and covers four different influenza strains (A/H1N1, A/H3N2, B/Yamagata, and B/Victoria). Clinical trials have demonstrated that GC3114 is safe and well-tolerated in healthy adults and elderly subjects and elicits strong seroprotection and seroconversion rates. Its mechanism of action is immunostimulation through induction of protective antibody responses against multiple influenza virus strains[1][5].
