Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HiOra-K is a polyherbal Ayurvedic formulation developed by Himalaya Wellness specifically for the management of dentinal hypersensitivity and the promotion of gingival health. The formulation utilizes a dual-action approach: it contains potassium nitrate (Suryakshara), which inhibits the transmission of pain signals by desensitizing dental nerves, and natural oxalates derived from Spinach (Palak) that help occlude exposed dentinal tubules to form a protective barrier. Additionally, it incorporates Clove (Lavanga), which contains eugenol to provide analgesic and antiseptic properties, and Triphala, which acts as an astringent and antimicrobial agent to reduce inflammation and inhibit oral pathogens. It is primarily used to alleviate pain associated with sensitivity to thermal, chemical, or mechanical stimuli.
