Trailhead Biosystems' hiPSC-derived oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) are an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell therapy product designed for the treatment of neurological and demyelinating diseases. Developed using the company's proprietary High-Dimensional Design of Experiments (HD-DoE) platform, these cells are engineered to differentiate into mature, myelinating oligodendrocytes upon transplantation. The primary mechanism of action is the restoration of the myelin sheath around damaged axons (remyelination) and the provision of trophic support to neurons, which aims to restore nerve conduction and prevent further neurodegeneration in conditions such as multiple sclerosis and leukodystrophies.
