Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hirak Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine prepared from processed and incinerated diamond (diamond ash). Traditionally used in Ayurveda, it is believed to possess potent immunomodulatory, cardioprotective, antianginal, anticancer, antimetastatic, antimutagenic, adaptogenic, antioxidant and rejuvenative properties. Hirak Bhasma is used for correcting imbalances of the Tridosha (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and has been applied in the management of conditions such as cancer (by reducing tumor size and preventing metastasis), internal abscesses, tumors, anemia, obesity, diabetes mellitus, infertility issues including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fistulae-in-ano or urinary problems. It is also considered to improve strength and vitality as well as mental stamina. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated but may involve immunomodulation; scientific evidence for its effects remains limited[1][2][3][4][5].
