Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HIV DNA vaccine + HIV protein vaccine + Advax is a preclinical vaccine candidate developed by Vaxine for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. It utilizes a heterologous prime-boost strategy, which involves an initial priming with a DNA vaccine encoding HIV envelope antigens, followed by a boost with recombinant HIV protein antigens. The protein component is formulated with Advax, a proprietary adjuvant derived from delta inulin. This combination is designed to elicit a broad and robust immune response, including both high-titer neutralizing antibodies and strong T-cell mediated immunity, to provide protection against diverse HIV strains. The vaccine has demonstrated immunogenicity and potential protective efficacy in non-human primate models.
