HIV gp120 CAR-T

HIV gp120 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Wuhan Porida Biotechnology (also known as Wuhan Bio-Raid Biotechnology) in collaboration with Wuhan Yungu Biopharmaceutical Technology. The therapy is designed to target the HIV envelope glycoprotein gp120, which is expressed on the surface of HIV-infected cells. The CAR construct utilizes a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) derived from the broadly neutralizing antibody N6 (N6-CAR), which binds with high affinity to the CD4-binding site of gp120. This allows the engineered T cells to selectively recognize and eliminate HIV-infected cells and viral reservoirs. It is currently being evaluated in exploratory Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of HIV infection.
