Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HIVconsvX is an investigational T cell–inducing HIV vaccine immunogen designed around conserved regions of the HIV-1 proteome to elicit broad, cross-clade cellular immune responses for HIV prevention and potentially functional cure. It is typically delivered using heterologous prime–boost regimens with viral vectors or nucleic acid platforms and aims to focus T cells on invariant viral epitopes that are less able to escape by mutation. Development has been led by academic and nonprofit HIV vaccine research groups working in collaboration with clinical trial networks.
