Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HJ-006 is an orally active, brain-penetrant, small molecule non-hallucinogenic neuroplastogen (synaptogenic agent) being developed by Jing Medicine Technology for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, including major depressive disorder (MDD). It is designed to promote neuroplasticity, neurite outgrowth, and synaptogenesis without the hallucinogenic effects or 5-HT2B-mediated cardiotoxicity typically associated with serotonergic psychedelics. In preclinical models, HJ-006 demonstrated rapid and sustained antidepressant-like efficacy, rescued corticosterone-impaired hippocampal activity, and exhibited 5-HT2B antagonist activity.
