HJ11

**HJ11** is an investigational traditional Chinese multi-herb medicine, also called Jia-Wei-Si-Miao-Yong-An decoction, developed by the Institute of Basic Theory for Chinese Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is derived from the Si-Miao-Yong-An formula and has been reported to include the base formula herbs plus Forsythiae Fructus, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Cinnamomum osmophloeum, and Polygoni cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix. HJ11 granules have been registered in exploratory randomized clinical studies for unstable angina, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and lower-extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans associated with Heat Retention Blood Vessel Syndrome. Preclinical studies suggest that the formula may reduce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury through suppression of ACSL4-associated ferroptosis and may modulate inflammatory signaling involving the TLR4/MyD88/IκB-alpha pathway; these mechanistic findings do not establish a single direct molecular target.
