Overview

HKP101 is a PEGylated recombinant granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) being developed by Hankook Korus Pharm for the treatment of neutropenia. By conjugating G-CSF with polyethylene glycol (PEG), the drug is engineered to have an extended half-life and prolonged duration of action compared to conventional G-CSF therapies. HKP101 acts as an agonist of the G-CSF receptor, stimulating the production, maturation, and activation of neutrophils in the bone marrow. It is intended as a long-acting therapeutic to reduce the incidence and duration of febrile neutropenia in patients receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling development phase, with an IND application filed in 2020.
