Overview

HKP108 is a biosimilar candidate of the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody pembrolizumab (Keytruda), currently under development by Hankook Korus Pharm. It is designed to bind to the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, preventing its interaction with the ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2. By inhibiting this checkpoint pathway, HKP108 aims to restore and enhance the immune system's ability to detect and destroy cancer cells. The program is in the preclinical stage, with ongoing work focused on process development for its use as an immune checkpoint inhibitor in various oncology indications.
