Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HL 10 is a freeze-dried drug developed by LEO Pharma. It is an exogenous natural porcine surfactant that functions as a cell membrane permeability enhancer. It was investigated in a Phase III clinical trial for the treatment of Acute Lung Injury (ALI) and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). The trial indicated that HL 10 did not improve patient outcomes and showed a trend towards increased mortality and adverse effects, leading to its discontinuation.
