Overview

HL-450 is a small-molecule inhibitor of the NLRP3 (NACHT, LRR and PYD domains-containing protein 3) inflammasome, currently under development by TLL Pharmaceutical (Highlightll Pharmaceutical). The NLRP3 inflammasome is a multi-protein complex that triggers the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-18 (IL-18), in response to various cellular stress and danger signals. By targeting NLRP3, HL-450 is designed to modulate the innate immune response and treat a range of peripheral inflammatory diseases. As of the latest reports, the candidate is in the preclinical stage of development.
