HL2351 is a novel recombinant fusion protein drug developed as a third-generation biobetter version of long-acting immunofusion proteins. It consists of two human interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) components fused to an immunoglobulin Fc fragment. The drug acts primarily as an interleukin 1 receptor antagonist and also inhibits interleukin 6 and suppresses the expression of interleukin 8. Its main therapeutic intent was for inflammatory diseases such as cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS) and rheumatoid arthritis. HL2351 was developed by Genexine in collaboration with Handok[1][3][4][5].
