Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an investigational cancer vaccine consisting of HLA-A*0201-restricted epitope peptides derived from URLC10 (Up-Regulated Lung Cancer 10, also known as lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus K or LY6K), a cancer-testis antigen. Developed by Shiga University, the vaccine is designed for the treatment of HLA-A*0201-positive patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose disease is controlled after standard therapies. The vaccine is a peptide-based biologic immunotherapy intended to induce cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses against cancer cells overexpressing the URLC10 antigen. It is typically administered subcutaneously in combination with an adjuvant, such as Montanide ISA51 (an incomplete Freund's adjuvant), to enhance the immune response and prevent future relapse.
