HLA-A siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the Human Leukocyte Antigen A (HLA-A) heavy chain. HLA-A is a critical component of the HLA class I complex, which is primarily responsible for presenting endogenous antigens to CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. In oncological research, particularly concerning pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), HLA-A siRNA is utilized to investigate the non-immunological roles of HLA class I molecules in tumor progression. Experimental evidence suggests that HLA-A expression can influence the proliferation and migration of pancreatic cancer cells, with its effects varying across different cell lines.
