Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAR001 is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy developed by Ever Supreme Bio Technology. It consists of Vδ2 γδ T cells engineered via mRNA electroporation to express a nanobody-based chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting HLA-G, a human leukocyte antigen that acts as an immune checkpoint in solid tumors. Additionally, the cells are engineered to secrete a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) targeting PD-L1 and CD3ε. This dual-targeting approach is designed to overcome immune escape mechanisms in the tumor microenvironment. CAR001 is currently being evaluated in Phase I/IIa clinical trials for relapsed or refractory solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), colorectal cancer (CRC), and glioblastoma (GBM).
