Overview
HLB PANAGENE is developing a therapeutic pipeline based on its proprietary **Peptide Nucleic Acid (PNA)** technology, delivered via **Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugates (AOCs)**. PNAs are synthetic DNA/RNA analogues with a peptide-like backbone that provides high stability against enzymatic degradation and high binding affinity to target RNA/DNA. The company's AOC platform aims to overcome delivery challenges by using antibodies to transport PNA payloads to specific cells. Key programs include an inhibitor of **microRNA-221-3p (miR-221-3p)** for the treatment of various cancers, including lung cancer, and **exon-skipping PNA oligonucleotides** for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). These candidates are currently in preclinical development.
