Overview

HLK-0008 is an investigational intranasal spray formulation of epinephrine developed by Pharmacin International (HLK Pharmacin) for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis. Utilizing the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, HLK-0008 is designed as a needle-free alternative to traditional auto-injectors, aiming to improve ease of use and patient compliance during severe allergic reactions. The product utilizes Pharmacin's proprietary formulation technology to ensure rapid absorption through the nasal mucosa, achieving pharmacokinetic profiles comparable to intramuscular injection. It is currently in the Pre-IND/IND stage of development, with pilot pharmacokinetic (PK) studies ongoing to support its regulatory submission.
