Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLP004 (formerly CYB004) is a proprietary, small-molecule deuterated dimethyltryptamine (DMT) compound being developed by Helus Pharma (formerly Cybin) for the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). As a novel serotonergic agonist, HLP004 primarily targets the 5-HT2A receptor to activate serotonin pathways believed to promote neuroplasticity. The drug is designed to offer potentially more convenient and patient-friendly dosing, including intramuscular administration, compared to traditional DMT. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development, with topline safety and efficacy data expected in the first quarter of 2026.
