Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLX01 + CHOP is a combination therapy consisting of HLX01, a biosimilar of rituximab, and the CHOP chemotherapy regimen (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone). HLX01 is a chimeric monoclonal antibody against CD20, developed by Henlius as a biosimilar to rituximab (originator: MabThera). The mechanism of HLX01 is direct targeting of CD20 on B lymphocytes, leading to cell lysis via complement-dependent cytotoxicity, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and apoptosis. CHOP includes three cytotoxic chemotherapy agents and prednisone, a corticosteroid. The combination is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with previously untreated, CD20-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)[1][2][5].
