Overview

HLX04 is a bevacizumab biosimilar developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech. It is designed to block vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) by specifically binding to it, which prevents VEGF from interacting with its receptors. This mechanism inhibits the formation of abnormal blood vessels, particularly important in cancer treatment. Clinical trials have demonstrated equivalent efficacy and comparable safety and immunogenicity profiles to reference bevacizumab.
