Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLX27 is an innovative monoclonal antibody targeting the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech (Henlius) in collaboration with Alligator Bioscience. It is designed for the treatment of HER2-positive solid tumors, including gastric cancer, gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer, and breast cancer. The drug emerged from a strategic partnership initiated in 2019, leveraging Alligator Bioscience's proprietary antibody discovery technologies. HLX27 functions by binding to the HER2 receptor on the surface of tumor cells, thereby inhibiting the signaling pathways that drive tumor growth and survival. It is positioned as a novel therapeutic candidate within Henlius's oncology pipeline, complementing other HER2-targeted assets such as HLX22 and the trastuzumab biosimilar HLX02.
