HLX37 is a recombinant humanized bispecific antibody developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It simultaneously targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway, HLX37 reverses T cell exhaustion and restores anti-tumor immune responses. Concurrently, its inhibition of the VEGF/VEGFR2 pathway suppresses tumor angiogenesis, thereby reducing tumor blood supply and potentially enhancing the infiltration of immune cells into the tumor microenvironment. HLX37 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials as both a monotherapy and in combination with chemotherapy.
