HLX55

HLX55 is a novel humanized IgG2 monoclonal antibody that targets the hepatocyte growth factor receptor (c-MET), a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in tumor growth and progression. Developed originally by Kolltan Pharmaceuticals and subsequently licensed and further developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech, HLX55 specifically binds to the Sema/PSI domain of human c-MET. Its dual mechanism of action includes blocking the binding of c-MET to its ligand HGF (hepatocyte growth factor), thereby inhibiting c-MET activation, as well as promoting degradation of c-MET. Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent anti-tumor effects and safety both *in vitro* and *in vivo*. The drug is being investigated for use in metastatic or recurrent solid tumors that overexpress or have mutations/amplifications in c-MET after failure of standard therapies.
