Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HLXTE-HAase1001 is a recombinant human hyaluronidase independently developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech. It is designed as an enabling co-formulation agent to facilitate the subcutaneous administration of biologics, transforming time-consuming intravenous infusions into rapid subcutaneous injections. By temporarily breaking down hyaluronan in the extracellular matrix, it increases the dispersion and absorption of co-injected drugs, allowing larger volumes to be administered under the skin. In August 2026, Henlius granted Sandoz a non-refundable option for HLXTE-HAase1001 as part of a broader biosimilars collaboration. The asset is currently in process development.
