Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HM10760A is a long-acting recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) chemically conjugated to the N-terminus of a human immunoglobulin Fc fragment via a polyethylene glycol linker. This modification extends its half-life compared to unconjugated EPO. It was developed for the treatment of anemia, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The drug acts as an erythropoiesis stimulant by agonizing the erythropoietin receptor, thereby promoting red blood cell production. Preclinical and early clinical studies have demonstrated its safety profile and lack of genotoxicity[1][5][7]. The intended dosing regimen was less frequent than standard EPO therapies due to its prolonged activity[2][8].
