HMB-003

HMB-003 is a first-in-class bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by Hemab Therapeutics for the treatment of Factor V (FV) deficiency. Utilizing Hemab's proprietary "strategic clotting" platform, HMB-003 is designed to bind simultaneously to Factor V and a platelet-specific receptor, Glycoprotein VI (GPVI). This dual-binding mechanism serves to localize and concentrate Factor V at the site of vascular injury, thereby facilitating thrombin generation and promoting stable clot formation in patients who lack sufficient endogenous Factor V. The therapy is intended for subcutaneous administration, offering a potentially more convenient and effective prophylactic or on-demand treatment option for this rare bleeding disorder.
