Overview

HMM1-022 is a polynucleotide (PN)-based injectable medical device developed by the South Korean company Humedix for the temporary correction of periorbital wrinkles, commonly referred to as crow's feet. The product is composed of long-chain DNA fragments, typically derived from salmon sperm, which function as a biostimulatory scaffold to promote tissue repair and regeneration. HMM1-022 works by stimulating fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis, primarily through the activation of adenosine A2A receptors, while also providing deep hydration to the dermis. In a confirmatory clinical trial (NCT06428253), HMM1-022 was evaluated for non-inferiority against Rejuran, an established PN-based skin booster, demonstrating its efficacy in improving skin elasticity and reducing wrinkle severity.
