Overview

HMM910 is an allogeneic cell therapy product composed of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs). Developed by Help Therapeutics, it is currently in Phase I clinical development for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fracture. The therapeutic rationale for using hUC-MSCs in osteoporosis lies in their ability to migrate to bone tissues, differentiate into osteoblasts to promote bone formation, and secrete various cytokines and growth factors that regulate the bone microenvironment. This paracrine signaling helps to balance the bone remodeling cycle by stimulating osteoblast activity and potentially inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thereby aiming to increase bone mineral density and reduce fracture risk.
