HMPL-295

HMPL-295 is an investigational, highly selective, oral small molecule inhibitor of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 and 2 (ERK1/2), which are key downstream components of the RAS-MAPK signaling pathway. The drug is being developed by HUTCHMED for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. ERK inhibition by HMPL-295 aims to overcome intrinsic or acquired resistance to upstream targeted therapies such as those directed at RAS, RAF, and MEK. Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent anti-tumor activity, and early clinical trials have focused on evaluating safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced malignancies who have failed standard therapies[1][4][6][8].
