Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HND027 is an oral small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) being developed by Handa Pharma (formerly Handa Neuroscience) for the treatment of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). It is a proprietary reformulation of an existing TKI, developed via the FDA's 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway. The primary objective of HND027 is to address the pharmacokinetic limitations of current TKI therapies, specifically by improving bioavailability and eliminating the significant drug-drug interactions associated with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and food intake. By reducing inter- and intra-patient variability, HND027 aims to provide more consistent therapeutic levels and improve patient compliance and outcomes in CML management. It is currently in the preclinical development stage.
