Drug intelligence / Profile preview
hNPC01 is an investigational cell therapy composed of human forebrain neural progenitor cells (hNPCs) derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Developed by Hopstem Biotechnology, the therapy is designed to treat chronic ischemic stroke by promoting neural repair and functional recovery. It is administered via a single-dose intracerebral injection directly into the brain tissue. The progenitor cells are intended to differentiate into functional neurons and integrate into the peri-infarct environment, potentially restoring lost neural circuits and providing neurotrophic support to the damaged brain area.
