hNPCEX is an investigational exosome-based therapy developed by Hopstem Biotechnology, derived from human neural progenitor cells (hNPCs). This therapy utilizes extracellular vesicles to deliver therapeutic cargo, including proteins and nucleic acids, to the central nervous system. It is currently in development for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Alzheimer's Disease. The mechanism is thought to involve the modulation of neuroinflammation, enhancement of synaptic plasticity, and promotion of neuroregeneration, leveraging the innate regenerative potential of neural progenitor cell signaling.
