Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HO-3 is a murine IgG2a monoclonal antibody developed by Trion Research that specifically targets the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM). HO-3 binds to a discontinuous epitope within the extracellular domain (specifically EGF-like domain I) of EpCAM, independent of its glycosylation status. It serves as the EpCAM-binding arm of the trifunctional bispecific antibody catumaxomab (Removab), which recruits T cells via CD3 and accessory cells via Fcγ receptors to eradicate EpCAM-positive tumor cells. HO-3 has been characterized preclinically for its high-affinity binding to EpCAM and its potential in cancer immunotherapy.
