This therapeutic approach involves direct injection into the inguinal lymph nodes to induce immunological tolerance more efficiently than traditional subcutaneous methods. The mechanism of action involves modulating the immune system's response to specific allergens by shifting from a Th2-dominated allergic profile to a Th1/Treg-mediated tolerant state. This is characterized by the induction of regulatory T-cells, increased production of protective IgG4 antibodies, and a reduction in the activity of allergen-specific IgE, thereby alleviating the symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
