Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Holoderm is an autologous cell therapy product developed by **Tego Science** for the treatment of deep second-degree and third-degree burns. It consists of autologous keratinocytes cultured from a small biopsy (1-3 cm²) of the patient's own skin. These cells are expanded in vitro into sheet grafts containing approximately one billion keratinocytes over a period of 14 to 18 days. The resulting sheets are transplanted onto the burn wound bed to facilitate re-epithelialization and permanent tissue regeneration. As Korea's first and the world's second commercialized cultured skin autograft, Holoderm provides a definitive skin replacement that minimizes the risk of immune rejection by using the patient's own biological material.
