Honghua Ruyi Pills

Honghua Ruyi Pills (HHRYW), also known as 'Safflower Wishful Pill' or 'Guge Sangpei' in Tibetan, is a traditional Tibetan medicine oral formulation developed and marketed by Tibet Cheezheng Tibetan Medicine (Gansu Cheezheng). The formulation is a modification of the classical '25-ingredient Podophyllum Pill' and contains 25 key ingredients, most of which are native to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is an approved traditional herbal medicine primarily indicated for various gynecological conditions, including endometriosis-associated dysmenorrhea, pelvic inflammatory disease pain, and menstruation disorders. The drug demonstrates anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, effectively alleviating chills and pain associated with menstrual irregularities. While its clinical efficacy is documented, its specific molecular targets and pharmacological mechanisms have not been fully characterized in Western pharmacological terms.
