Overview
Hongjin Xiaojie Capsule (HJXJC) is a multi-herb traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Yunnan Yousheng Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of hyperplasia of mammary glands (breast hyperplasia) and associated breast pain (mastalgia), including moderate to severe cyclical breast pain. The formulation consists of several botanical ingredients, including *Mahonia*, *Bupleurum*, *Panax notoginseng*, golden buckwheat (*Fagopyrum dibotrys*), *Cyperus rotundus*, and *Paederia scandens*. According to TCM principles, the drug works by soothing the liver, regulating Qi, promoting blood circulation to remove stasis, and softening hardness to disperse nodules. Clinical evidence, including a Phase IV multicenter randomized controlled trial, supports its efficacy in reducing pain intensity and lump size in patients with breast hyperplasia.
