HOPE 1 is a proprietary cannabinoid-based medicinal product developed by Zelira Therapeutics for the treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Phelan-McDermid Syndrome. It is a 1:1 formulation of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) at a concentration of 5 mg/mL each, delivered in a pharmaceutical-grade olive oil tincture for sublingual administration. The drug aims to manage symptoms associated with ASD and is currently undergoing FDA-regulated clinical trials. HOPE 1 was launched in Australia in October 2020 and has been distributed in several U.S. states under medicinal cannabis programs while advancing through the formal FDA approval pathway.
