Overview

A combination of allergen extracts from house dust mites, various animal epithelia (dander), and molds, used for allergen immunotherapy. This treatment is intended for patients with diagnosed allergies to these specific perennial, indoor allergens. [9, 11] Immunotherapy involves the administration of gradually increasing doses of the allergens to which the person is sensitive. [7] This process helps the immune system build tolerance, reducing the severity of allergic symptoms over time. [1, 7] Such combinations are typically prescribed by an allergist as custom-formulated mixtures for subcutaneous injections (allergy shots) or sublingual drops, based on a patient's specific sensitization profile determined through allergy testing.
