Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HP-2002** is Huapu Biotechnology's CpG-adjuvanted recombinant hepatitis B vaccine candidate for prevention of hepatitis B virus infection. The vaccine uses a Hansenula yeast expression system and a three-in-one liquid antigen-adjuvant formulation. Its recombinant antigen is intended to induce hepatitis B virus-specific adaptive immunity, while the proprietary CpG adjuvant activates Toll-like receptor 9 to enhance B-cell, plasmacytoid dendritic-cell, humoral, and cellular immune responses. Huapu reported that the Chinese National Medical Products Administration approved its IND on November 10, 2025. ([parrbio.com](https://www.parrbio.com/newsinfo/10806296.html))
