HP-TAT is a preclinical-stage nanoparticle therapeutic being developed by NanoPharmaceuticals for the treatment of ophthalmic disorders, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other proliferative angiopathies. The drug is designed to target thyrointegrin alpha-V/beta-3 receptors, which are overexpressed in active neovascularization and proliferative ocular tissues. By antagonizing these receptors, HP-TAT aims to inhibit pathological angiogenesis and vascular leakage in the retina, offering a potential treatment for progressive vision loss associated with retinal vascular diseases.
