Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HP3 is a non-specific identifier and does not denote one unique drug.** In public sources, it has referred to both an investigational three-antigen *Helicobacter pylori* vaccine developed by Chiron, containing neutrophil-activating protein, CagA, and VacA antigens, and to **Escherichia phage HP3**, a lytic bacteriophage investigated as part of phage cocktails for drug-resistant or recurrent *Escherichia coli* urinary tract infections. These are distinct biological products with unrelated compositions, mechanisms, developers, and indications; they must not be merged into a single drug record.
