Overview

HP510 is an investigational dual-target small molecule developed by Hinova Pharma (Grupo Hinova) for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Developed using Hinova's proprietary 'TNAB' platform, the drug is designed to act as a dual agonist, primarily targeting the thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR-β) and the farnesoid X receptor (FXR). By activating THR-β in the liver, HP510 promotes fatty acid oxidation and reduces hepatic fat accumulation, while its activity on FXR helps modulate bile acid metabolism and reduce inflammation and fibrosis. This dual-target approach is intended to provide synergistic therapeutic effects on liver health and metabolic parameters while minimizing the systemic side effects typically associated with non-selective thyroid hormone receptor activation. HP510 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials in China and Phase 1/2 trials in the United States.
