hpDNA-EP is a synthetic linear hairpin DNA vaccine platform delivered via electroporation (EP). It is designed to rapidly and cost-effectively induce strong CD8+ and CD4+ T cell responses against tumor-specific neoantigens. This platform has shown promise in preclinical studies for personalized cancer vaccines, demonstrating significant tumor protection and reduction of metastases, and has been evaluated in a Phase I COVID-19 trial. Its synthetic biology-based approach aims to provide a feasible and promising alternative immunotherapy for cancer, particularly in neoadjuvant settings.
