Drug intelligence / Profile preview
hPLTs-01 (also known as hPLTs-01 A-type) is a preclinical-stage cell therapy being developed by **HemaCell Therapeutics** (Suzhou Xueji Biotechnology Co., Ltd.) for the treatment of **thrombocytopenia**. The therapy consists of functional platelets derived from hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) using proprietary stem cell reprogramming, editing, and differentiation technologies. Unlike traditional platelet transfusions that rely on human donors, hPLTs-01 is an *in vitro* generated product designed to restore platelet counts and hemostatic function in patients with low platelet levels. This approach aims to provide a scalable and potentially safer alternative to donor-derived blood products.
