HPN-8366 is an investigational enzyme-functionalized nanoparticle therapy being developed by Adienne S.r.l. S.U. for the treatment of lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs). The platform utilizes biocompatible polymer nanoparticles to immobilize lysosomal enzymes, which is intended to enhance enzyme stability, preserve catalytic activity, and facilitate intravenous administration as an enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). By protecting the enzyme within a nanoparticle carrier, the technology aims to overcome common limitations of traditional ERTs, such as rapid degradation and poor biodistribution. As of 2024, the program is in the lead optimization stage of development.
