The drug is primarily being developed for **nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)** and is being investigated for its potential effects on digestive system disorders. There are also indications that it may have neuroprotective effects in models of neurodegeneration through similar gene regulatory mechanisms, but its primary development is in NASH[1][2][6][7].
