Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HPP071 (also known as HPP5033) is a preclinical small molecule drug candidate developed by vTv Therapeutics. It is designed to modulate the Nrf2/Bach1 pathway to treat oxidative and inflammatory conditions. Nrf2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2) is a key transcription factor that regulates the expression of antioxidant proteins that protect against oxidative damage triggered by injury and inflammation, while Bach1 (BTB and CNC homology 1) acts as a competitive inhibitor of Nrf2. By targeting this pathway, HPP071 aims to enhance the cellular antioxidant response and reduce inflammation.
